Nevada Nursing Schools and Programs

Nevada is full of recreation and adventure from A to Z. Nevada has hiking, biking, fishing, and hunting. Nevada boasts it has over 300 days of sunshine a year! With Lake Tahoe near, you can try to heli-ski or snowmobile! Within the state there are many historic sites and cultural experiences to partake in. Of course, we cannot forget the entertainment capitals of Las Vegas and Reno; or the historic Hoover Dam. The state is full of history and many nursing students find themselves loving everything because of all the options Nevada has to offer.

The Nevada nursing programs are slim but you still have the choices of working towards your LPN, diploma, Associates, BSN, and MSN. There are options to study online and we will show how those programs work in Nevada. Nevada has the need for nurses because of the shortage that has hit all of America. The state ranks near the top for salaries, yet are near 1,800 nurses short. Contributing to the problem is that many of the people moving to Nevada, the nation's fastest-growing state, are either retired or close to retirement. This is very similar to Florida. Nevada does have a plan in place so the shortage does not get worse. One part is recruiting and the other part is offering $1 million in scholarship money. Also Nevada does not have a state income tax, therefore nurses make more money.
