Missouri Nursing Schools and Programs

Missouri is full of art, music, festivals and Ozark Mountain hospitality. Known as the Gateway to the West, Missouri is home to the St. Louis' Gateway Arch, which is the tallest monument in America. With a nickname like the “Show Me” state, Missouri does nothing but show everyone a great time and adventure. With outdoor activities like boating on Lake of the Ozarks, touring caverns, golfing, or renting a houseboat on the Tri-Lakes, a nursing student is sure to find adventure while pursing a nursing degree in Missouri.

Missouri provides plenty of opportunities for students who seek degrees and certifications in nursing. The universities and colleges have great nursing programs that will help you achieve your degree and reach your nursing goals. A program to make note of, is the Jesuit nursing program with a MSN in three specialties at the Research College of Nursing in Kansas. Other opportunities are to pursue your nursing education online as well. Kansas has a nursing shortage problem as well, and their plan to solve it is to allow full time nurses serve as part time clinical faculty to educate more nurses. This will be a three to five-year demonstration project with the hospitals. With this in place, Missouri hopes to not have to turn away more qualified nursing applicants.
