Eligibility: Open to graduating high school seniors who are Explorers and interested in attending a public or proprietary institution or union apprentice program. Their achievements must "reflect the high degree of motivation, commitment, and skills that epitomize the skilled trades." Selection is based on academic record, re,commendations, and a 500-word essay on why the applicant should be selected for the scholarship. All completed applications must be approved by the local council scout executive. Financial data: The stipend is $1,000.
