Scholarship for graduate students attending the University of Texas at Austin whose research has application to the search and development of petroleum and energy-mineral resources or to related environmental geology issues. Selection is based on the student's past performance; originality and imagination of the proposed project; support of the department in which work is being done; significance of the project to petroleum, energy minerals and related environmental geology; and financial need.
