Scholarship for California residents who are undergraduate (freshmen ineligible) or graduate students pursuing studies/enrichment in the Portuguese language/culture. Applicant must be: 1) enrolled in a California college/university where Portuguese language and literature are not offered; 2) demonstrate desire to study Portuguese language and culture; 3) be of Portuguese descent or working with Portuguese adults or children. Award based on financial need and vocational promise. Nonrenewable.
