Annual award for an African American/Black, Asian, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, American Indian/Alaska Native or Hispanic/Latino graduate student who is pursuing a master's degree in an ALA recognized or accredited program in Library and Information studies. Students must not have completed more than 12 semester hours in the program. Selection is based on competence, promise, ability to do graduate study, potential for leadership, and communication of diversity as a professional value.
