Annual award for a deserving current Whirly-Girl Members (for at least one year) to attend the R22/R44 Safety Course conducted by RHC. The 3-1/2 day course includes classroom instruction on maintenance, pre-flight inspections, and flying with an experienced RHC pilot. While geared to flight instructors, course is open to any rated helicopter pilot who has at least 3 hours in the R22 or R44 helicopter. Scholarship monies must be used for flight training only within the following year. Applicants must complete 2 copies each of typed application, financial statement, Federal Income Tax Return, all FAA Airman and Medical certificates and at least two recommendations. Award amount varies. A $25 fee is required to be sent with application for processing and mailing.
