Annual award for North Carolina resident who is an undergraduate student attending East Carolina University full-time, majoring in Criminal Justice. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 GPA. First preference given to (1) son or daughter of a NC sheriff; (2) son or daughter of a NC deputy sheriff; (3) son or daughter of any NC law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty. Second preference given to (1) son or daughter of any NC sheriff who is deceased or retired or (2) son or daughter of any NC law enforcement official, active or retired. Third priority is given to student with financial need. Due date and award amount varies.
