Description

 

Scholarship for full-time juniors or seniors attending a minority serving institution and are interested in pursuing a degree and research relating to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Applicants must be pursuing studies in Atmospheric Science, Biology, Cartography, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geodesy, Geography, Marine Science, Mathematics, Meteorology, Photogrammetry, Physical Science, Physics, or Remote Sensing. U.S. citizenship is required. Scholarships are offered at minority serving institutions. Internship assignments are held at NOAA field sites. Program lasts one year and two summer internships. Award amount is for tuition and fees (up to a total of $4,000) and during internship a weekly stipend of $650 and housing allowance. Due date is in January. Nonrenewable.
