Biennial awards for undergraduate and graduate students who are composers. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen. A score for chamber ensemble or orchestra, a recording of the work and $20 entry fee must be included with application packet. Award is in the form of a commission for a new work to be premiered by the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble. Awards are given in even numbered years.
