Graduate Fellowships in the Physical Sciences

Annual fellowships for Graduate students pursuing a degree in Astronomy, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Materials Science, Mathematical Sciences, Physics and the engineering fields of Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering at any participating NPSC member University or College. Applicants must be a U.S. citizen, and meet one of the following criteria: Be in the senior year with a 3.0 GPA; be in the first year of a graduate program leading to a Ph.D; be in a terminal Master's program at an institution that does not have a Ph.D. program in the chosen discipline; or be returning from the workforce with no more than a master's degree. Selection is based on research experience, letters of recommendation, academic standing and GRE scores. Recipients must commit to two summers of paid research employment with an NPSC sponsoring employer. Award amount covers tuition, fees, and a stipend of $16,000 annually. Number of awards varies.
