Annual award for currently enrolled college seniors or recent graduates of U.S. or Canadian universities who plan to attend graduate school in any field of Byzantine studies. Applicant must have completed a minimum of 1 year of Ancient or Medieval Greek studies. Students must be nominated by their advisors in a letter sent directly to Dumbarton Oaks. In addition to applications and other required materials, student must also submit official transcripts, and recommendation letters from scholars prior to November 1. Award amount is for graduate school tuition and living expenses for a maximum of 2 years. Nonrenewable.
